MANKATO, Minn. (KMSP) -
On Wednesday, the Mankato State University football coach who was charged with child pornography will ask the judge to dismiss the case against him -- and his supporters rallied on Tuesday night.
Todd Hoffner insists that the videos found on his university-issued cell phone were just "innocent family moments," but prosecutors filed two felony charges against him in August, accusing him of making pornography.
Two of the three videos show Hoffner's children dancing naked, and the family has always maintained that they were simply being silly with absolutely no sexual intent.
On Tuesday night, it was clear that Hoffner has been getting a lot of support from friends and family members who gathered outside his home in a rally of support.
More than a dozen friends and neighbors prayed with the Hoffners on the day before a judge will decide whether the case against Hoffner goes forward.
Although Hoffner himself couldn't speak, his wife let everyone know how they feel.
"Thank you so much for coming out. We really appreciate all the support we've had," Melodee Hoffner said.
