Archdiocese of Detroit to collect funds to aid Hurricane Sandy victims

DETROIT (WJBK) -- The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit plans to collect money to help aid people affected by the Eastern Coast's severe weather.

The funds will be forwarded to Baltimore-based Catholic Charities USA, an organization representing Catholics in times of domestic disaster.

Those interested in helping may visit www.aod.org/disasterrelief, or donate by a check payable to "Archdiocese of Detroit" with "Hurricane Sandy" written in the memo line. Checks should be sent to:
