ATLANTA -

The plans for North Atlanta High School are moving forward, but first the city had to make some room.

Atlanta Demolition imploded one of the two buildings on the former IBM campus located at 4111 Northside Parkway in Atlanta on Saturday to make room for the school's campus.

The Hillside Building will be the site of North Atlanta High School which is currently down the road at 2875 Northside Drive.

The early Saturday morning implosion drew hundreds. FOX 5 carried the implosion live during Good Day Atlanta.

The new high school set to open in August of 2013 will host about 2,350 students.
