Gov. Chris Christie says all state offices in New Jersey will be closed Monday because of the massive storm heading to the state.
Christie made the announcement during a Sunday afternoon news conference in Pompton Lakes. He also urged school districts to cancel classes on Monday.
This comes a day after the governor declared a state of emergency because of the possible torrential weather that could be created by the storm. Christie ordered mandatory evacuations of the state's southern barrier islands and all Atlantic City casinos by late Sunday afternoon, and also shuttered state parks until further notice.
