2 dead men left in alley on Detroit's west side

Posted: Updated:
DETROIT (WJBK) -

Detroit police say the bodies of two men have been discovered in an alley on the city's west side.

Police say they responded to 911 calls around 7:45 a.m. Friday near the 4400 block of Lawton. They say the unidentified victims are two white males in their 20's.

Fox 2's Robin Schwartz made it to the gruesome scene.

The bodies were first discovered by a worker of a nearby plant.

Terry Jordan is a plant manager and he tells Schwartz the men were "shot up and them dumped in an alley like garbage."

Detroit Homicide says there have been 279 fatal shootings this year and 1296 non-fatal shootings.

Solving this most recent shooting mystery on how two men ended up dead in alley may be a long time coming.  The area is very remote and at night the streetlights do not work. It is very dark. Witness testimony will be hard to come by.
