DETROIT -- FOX 2 has learned four people were on the porch of a house on Detroit's west side when they were shot in broad daylight Wednesday.

"She (doesn't) know who shot her.  She just (saw) the guys walking up the street," said Latayna Ward, the sister of one of the victims.  "All of a sudden, guns turn out and they (fired).  Everybody on the porch got... hit."

Caught in the crossfire was a four-year-old child, who police say was shot in the leg and rushed to the hospital.

The child's mother, her boyfriend and a neighbor, who was killed, were also shot.  Police say that neighbor was the intended target.

"It appears to have been some type of a dispute," said Detroit Police Inspector Dwayne Blackmon.  "He was specifically targeted by the individuals who fatally shot him."

The man ran a few houses down before collapsing and dying at a nearby home.  Moments later, his family arrived on the scene hoping for better news.

Police are looking for three men.  It's unclear how many of the three had guns.  Investigators on the scene wouldn't say how many casings were recovered or if all of them came from the same gun.

Police say the man that was killed also had a gun.  It's unclear whether he returned fire.
