A 42-year-old man was critically injured when he fell more than two stories from an escalator as he was leaving MetLife Stadium after the New York Giants victory over the Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon.
New Jersey State police said David Chupcavich of Orange, Conn., was leaving the stadium after 4:00 p.m. when he fell over the side of the escalator.
Authorities do not know what caused him to fall.
The Chupcavich fell about 21 feet and landed on a metal stage, according to police.
The victim was taken by helicopter to Hackensack University Hospital where he was listed in critical condition on Sunday night.
The family did not release any information on Chupcavich's condition on Monday.
