The NYPD says a man who raped a woman in Greenwich Village two months ago may have struck again in Queens.

In both cases, police have surveillance video of the suspect.

A surveillance video taken on Wednesday, October 17 around 11:00 p.m. was taken outside the business in Flushing, Queens.

Once inside, investigators say the man, seen wearing a fedora hat and carrying a backpack, sexually assaulted a 55-year-old woman.

The victim was taken to New York Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

The business is bunched among several shops near a busy section on Union Street not far from Northern Boulevard.

Lynn works nearby and had just heard about the crime when Fox 5 spoke with her.

"It's an awful thing that a guy would just force his way on to a woman, especially here."

The incident in Queens happened exactly two months after a man, possibly the same suspect, entered a massage parlor in Manhattan's Greenwich Village.

In that case a woman 41-year-old woman was beaten unconscious and raped.

"I've heard things happening a lot," said one nearby resident. "I'm never alone and I'm, always with someone."

Police say the suspect is between 30-40 years old, about 5'8", with a medium to heavy build.

"It's a reminder that I have to be careful. I'm, not anymore frightened than I was before," added Lynn.

Police ask anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM
