The New York Post Liberty Medal Awards started soon after the 9/11 attacks to honor heroic New Yorkers. TV legend Regis Philbin has hosted for 11 consecutive years.

The Liberty Medal Awards shined a light on nine inspiring New Yorkers, including Sharon Content who founded Children of Promise.

Ladder 137's Sean Heeran received a Liberty Medal for rescuing a man as he almost fell out of a two-story building.

While she's called Los Angeles and Chicago home, it's New York City and New Jersey where she's now spending most of her free time (when she has it.)  McCarthy will host her own satellite radio show- Dirty, Sexy, Funny- on SiriusXM starting in October.

    The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is working to track down whoever posted dozens of stickers and fliers with swastikas and the word "Uber" in Brooklyn. The stickers and flyers filled with images of hate were placed outside a Jewish boys' school on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn. A Shomrim safety patrol spotted the stickers on the sidewalk and in the gutters, police said.
