TROY, Mich. (WJBK) -

A Troy man has been arrested after police say he was pulled over for drunk driving with three young children in his car.

50-year-old Antarone Powell was stopped on Friday night when officers spotted him driving on Rochester Road without his headlights.

Officers say Powell smelled of intoxicants, had slurred speech and was very agitated and uncooperative when he was stopped. His blood alcohol level was reportedly nearly twice the legal limit.

Investigators say there were three children ages two, five and six years-old in the car along with two other adults.

Powell has been arraigned on charges of Operating While Intoxicated and Child Endangerment. Bond was set at $5,000 cash/surety or 10%. He's expected back in court on October 22nd.
