MYFOXNY.COM -

The eyes of the world will be focused on Hofstra University in Hempstead, Long Island on Tuesday night for the town hall-style presidential debate taking place there for the second time.

Obama's campaign, seeking to rebound from a dismal first debate, promised a more energetic President Obama would take the stage.

Mitt Romney's team aimed to build on a commanding opening debate that gave the Republican new life in a White House race that had once appeared to be slipping away from him.

Stuart Rabinowitz, Hofstra University President, spoke with Good Day NY on Monday about preparations underway on the Hempstead campus,

It's the second time the university has the honor of hosting a presidential debate.

"We simply applied the first time. Told them about all our assets and resources. The second time we got it because we did such a great job the first time," said Rabinowitz.

Tickets are allocated by the election commission.

"This is all about our students. There will be about 300 of our students in the debate hall."

Thanks to some very generous donors, the school will incur no expenses by playing host to President Barack Obama and challenger Mitt Romney.
