Woman murdered in St. Paul after Facebook threats

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -

St. Paul police are looking for a killer Monday morning after a woman was gunned down on the city's east side.

The body of 20-year-old Naressa Turner was found inside an SUV in an alley Sunday afternoon. Her family and friends crowded around the crime scene in shock, waiting for answers.

Police aren't sure what led to the shooting, but they don't believe it was random.

"We don't have any suspects in custody at this time and we are trying to figure out who, if anybody, was in the vehicle with her at the time," St. Paul police spokesman Howie Padilla said.

Family members say Turner was being threatened after someone on Facebook said she witnessed a murder. She took the threats seriously, moving to Atlanta three months ago. She came back to visit last week.

Turner leaves behind a 3-year-old daughter. Her death marks St. Paul's 14th murder of the year.
