The NYPD is searching for the suspect who fatally shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend at a Bronx motel early Saturday morning.
38-year-old Tracy Bennett and her boyfriend Wayne Hamilton, 50, were shot dead in the parking lot of the Holiday Motel around 3:00 a.m. as she pleaded for her life.
Police say 42-year-old Joseph Kernizan shot Hamilton who was fleeing from their car before he chased down Bennett and killed her.
Some hotel guests said they heard Bennett beg for her life and before hearing gunshots.
Bennett, of Elmont, L.I., had obtained a restraining order against Kernizan, according to police.
The New York Post says Hamilton was married and had flown in from Milwaukee and went straight to a Bronx nightclub, where he met up with Bennett before going to the motel.
Police say Kernizan is 5'5" and weighs around 220 pounds.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
