As the rain fell, a group gathered to remember a college student who had dreams of becoming a chef. Shawn Lamont Davis, Jr. will not get to live out his dreams. In the early morning hours of Oct. 7, he was shot multiple times. He'd spent the day celebrating his sister's birthday then stopped to visit friends on Grandmont St. He was walking to his car when someone drove by and opened fire. Family members tell us Shawn knew his killers.

Shawn leaves behind a 4-year-old daughter. In honor of his life, his organs were donated.
