2 alarm house fire in Newark

A two-alarm blaze left several people displaced when the fire spread through three city homes in Newark early Saturday morning. 

The fire was reported around 4:00 a.m. and started in a single-family house before spreading to two other houses. None of the resident was injured but on firefighter was taken to the hospital. 

Fire officials said the blaze left one of the buildings uninhabitable because the roof was burned off at the home where the fire began. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
