Two people were fatally shot outside a motel in the Bronx where guests heard the horrified screams of the victims early Saturday morning.

Police say the shooting happened around 3:00 a.m. in the parking lot of the Holiday Motel located off the New England Thruway in the Eastchester section . Authorities said a 38-year-old Tracy Bennett and 50-year-old man Wayne Hamilton found with gunshot wounds to the head.

The New York Post said the two victims were shot by Bennett's ex-boyfriend and that Bennett could be heard by hotel guests pleading with the gunman not to shoot. The Post said Bennett's ex-boyfriend shot Hamilton, her current boyfriend, before chasing her to the back of the hotel. She pleaded for her own life before she was shot and killed.

Police said the gunman is still at large.

The shooting victims are from Elmont, L.I. and sources told the Post Bennett had a restraining order against the suspect.
