Brooklyn celebrated one of its most successful entertainers Thursday: Barbra Streisand. She grew up not far from the Barclays Center in the Flatbush section of the borough.

She said she was known in the neighborhood as the girl without a father but with a good voice. She made sure all 18,000 plus fans heard those golden pipes.

For the first time in her 51 years of show business, the 70-year-old legendary entertainer graced a venue in her native borough.

With tickets demanding steep dollars, many fans just showed up for festive vibe pre-concert. Others coughed up the dollars.

The funny girl did reveal that her son Jason Gould will be joining her for a duet.

Streisand said she is so glad that she's from Brooklyn -- so down to earth. The multiple Grammy and Oscar winner also said "I guess you can come home again."

Streisand is at Barclays two nights: Thursday and Saturday. Both shows are sold out, but as with many hot shows tickets are reselling for thousands of dollars.

After all, this could be her last concert. In case you didn't know the star suffers from stage fright.
