Police responded to a disturbance call the Long Island home of Dina Lohan, mother of troubled Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan on Wednesday morning.
According to TMZ.com, mother and daughter got into a heated argument before 8 a.m. following a night out together at a nightclub in New York City.
The pair were reportedly arguing in a car. Lindsay Lohan suffered a cut on her leg, TMZ reported.
An investigation revealed "no criminality." Police did not release details on the subject of the argument, reported the Associated Press.
There are unconfirmed reports of an incident involving Lohan's limo driver.
Lohan's father, Michael Lohan, released to TMZ a recording of his conversation purportedly with Lindsay at the time of the incident.
According to TMZ, the fight ignited over money. Lindsay gave her mother $40K to save her from foreclosure. Lindsay wanted her money back and then the fight broke out, reported TMZ.
Lohan, 26, who has been spotted in recent weeks around New York City, has reportedly been staying with her mother.
Nassau County police were at the house located on Old Mill Road in North Merrick but left before 10 a.m.

A message left with her publicist by the Associated Press was not immediately returned.
The 26-year-old has had frequent run-ins with the law.
She was involved in a New York City police investigation about two weeks ago. She alleged a man had assaulted her in a New York hotel, but charges against the man were later dropped.
That came days after another man claimed she ran over his foot with her car.
