Sex assault suspect targeted girl on bike

A man on a bicycle is wanted by police for sexually assaulting a young girl who was also riding a bike when he stopped her in Elmhurst, Queens, said police.

The man allegedly asked the 11-year-old girl for help repairing his bike at Whitney Avenue and Broadway at about 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 1.

He sexually assaulted her before fleeing the area on his bicycle, said police.

The man is described as White, 35-45 years old and approximately 6'2" tall.

He was last seen riding a black mountain bike with a black seat and red stripes.

Police released a sketch of the suspect on Wednesday.
