Authorities arrested two upstate New Yorkers in connection with a string of cooper thefts.

Joseph Cole, 48, and Zoe Sena, 39, of Athens, in Greene County, are accused of stealing copper after an investigation into several larcenies and burglaries in the area.

Authorities charged Cole with grand larceny, criminal trespass, and marijuana possession.

Police said Sena had crack cocaine and a prescription medication not prescribed to her when she was arrested. Authorities charged her with grand larceny, criminal trespass, marijuana possession, and controlled substance possession.

Cole and Sena were arraigned before a Catskill town judge, who remanded them to county jail.

Green County, about 110 miles north of Manhattan, is a rural area in the eastern Catskills that borders the Hudson River.
