Chanel Weddington, 22, wasn't the target, but she's the one who lost her life. Now, yet another family is grieving. Her family tells Fox 2 she came to an Ecorse after hours club early Sunday morning to meet up with her boyfriend. They were outside talking when someone started shooting.

Family member say Chanel was shot in the chest; she was pronounced dead at the hospital. Her boyfriend was shot in the stomach. He survived. Police say the shooter wasn't aiming for Chanel or her boyfriend. He was trying to shoot a man who he'd gotten into a fight with earlier in the evening at a club in Detroit. Now, family and friends are leaving messages and balloons to remember a life that should not have been taken.

They're asking the shooter to turn himself in. There were plenty of witnesses. Police are still working to track down the killer.
