A protest march and rally was held Sunday afternoon in Lower Manhattan for 28-year-old Mohamed Bah who was fatally shot by police on September 25.

Community leaders and the Bah family are calling for the NYPD to investigate if the officers involved followed patrol guide protocol and the family has questions about his shooting death.

Bah was shot and killed by police in the doorway of his Harlem apartment after police say he lunged at them with a knife.

The rally for Bah, which concluded at One Police Plaza, was joined by Kadiatou Diallo, the mother of Amadou Diallo whose son was also shot and killed by police. Diallo offered her support to the Bah family and to also denounce Police Commissioner Ray Kelly's decision to restore a gun to Officer Kenneth Boss.

Boss was one of the four officers who fired 41 shots at an unarmed Diallo who was in the vestibule of his apartment building in the Bronx on February 4, 1999.

Ms. Diallo is questioning why the officer will get his gun back.

"This is the same place where I stood with the community at large to call for justice for my first born,' said Diallo. "13 years later, the same month as Amadou's birthday … Mohammed Bah was gunned down."

Diallo said after all these years, she can't believe we are going through the same problems.

She met with Bah's mother and said she understands her pain.
