The Dirt: It's time to plant your bulbs

Posted: Updated:

It's autumn, but it's time to get a jump start on your spring.  It's time to buy all of your bulbs and get them in the ground.

Darrell Youngquest from English Gardens joined FOX 2's Monica Gayle to talk about some of the various plants available, including alliums and a two-tone tulip that looks like it has a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

He also discussed the best way to plant bulbs, as well as how to enhance the soil and deter animals from digging them up.
