Video of American Idol judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey posted on TMZ.com shows the pair yelling at each other during auditions for the singing competition.
Minaj is heard threatening and swearing at Carey.
At one point, the Queens rapper is heard saying "I told them I'm not (expletive) putting up with her (expletive) highness over there. Figure it the (expletive) out. Figure it out. "
TMZ reports the heated exchange happened on Tuesday in Charlotte, North Carolina. It's not clear what sparked the verbal tirade. Several media reports indicate the shouting match started after the music industry divas disagreed over a contestant's performance.
Fellow judge and country singer Keith Urban, who was seated between the pair at the judges table, puts his hands up in desperation.
Judge Randy Jackson, seated at the opposite end of Minaj and next to Carey, tells Minaj to "settle down."
The auditions were called off for the day so Minah and Carey could cool off, reported TMZ.
