Coast Guard locates 3 boaters off NJ

The Coast Guard has found three people who were late in returning from an overnight fishing trip off New Jersey.

A Coast Guard helicopter located their 28-foot boat and confirmed they were not in distress.

The three had left Tuckerton at 10:30 p.m. Monday and were due to return at 6 a.m. Tuesday. The Coast Guard said Trevor Daniels told his father he and his companions were going 60 miles offshore.

Daniels' father alerted the Coast Guard when the boat failed to return on time.
