A 70-year-old woman in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx was feeding five dogs when one of them attacked her, biting her face, family members told Fox 5.

Janet Green's grandson told Fox 5 that his grandmother tried shooing away a barking female dog with a garbage bag. The grandson said a male dog felt threatened and bit her in her face and him in the finger.

Family members said that after the attack the dog ran off through an open gate. It is unclear if animal control has captured the dog.

Neighbors said two adult pit bulls at the home recently gave birth to three puppies. They say they'd seen the dogs before but never heard of any problems. A neighbor, Sabrina Santiago, saw Green being taken away by an ambulance soon after.
