A plan is reportedly in the works to widen pedestrian and bike lanes along with adding new signs and road markings to Central Park.
The project is intended to make it easier to tell which lanes are safe for biking and jogging, reported the N.Y. Daily News.
The number of lanes used by cars would be reduced as a result of the changes.
The Department of Transportation's plan would reportedly double pedestrian lanes from seven feet to 14 feet; and most bike lanes would grow from seven feet to 11 feet.
