Drive-thru thief on Long Island

Police are looking for a bold thief who went right into a Burger King drive-thru window to steal an employee's purse.

It happened at the Burger King at 2250 North Ocean Ave. in Farmingville.

Suffolk County Police say it happened at about 11:07 p.m. on Sept. 1, 2012.

Police say the man reached through the window and grabbed the employee's purse off a coat hook.

The subject is described as a white male in his late teens or early 20s, with dark hair. 

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Police say that calls will be kept confidential.
