A teenage girl was killed when two cars crashed in New Jersey Saturday night.

Essex County authorities say four other people were hurt in the crash at the intersection of Broughton Avenue and Walter Street in Bloomfield.

The accident was so horrific that people who heard it say the sound alone told them it was bad.

Sunday night, there was a collective group of voices singing amazing grace from the hundreds remembering 16-year-old Christina Lembo, a young girl, with a contagious smile taken far too soon.

"She was amazing," added one mourner. "The thing I'll remember the most is her laugh."

Lembo was killed Saturday evening in a car crash on Broughton Avenue in the town of Bloomfield. According to the Essex County Prosecutor, Lembo was in the back seat of a Honda Civic when a Chevy Camaro smashed into the back of the car. The Bloomfield High school soccer star was crushed in the backseat.

She was pronounced dead at University Hospital in Newark a short time later.

While it's unclear what caused the crash there is speculation it was the result of street racing between to cars -- and the Honda Civic was caught in the middle.

Sunday night hundreds who knew and loved Lembo came to the scene for an impromptu vigil carrying flowers and sporting Christina's varsity soccer number 3.
