PATH train riders begin the work-week with a fare increase.
The basic one-way fare is up from $2 to $2.25 and will increase another 25 cents every October through 2014, when it will reach $2.75.
Commuters who transfer to PATH at Hoboken Terminal from Metro-North and NJ Transit trains to reach New York City will still get a discount when they buy multi-trip tickets.
The price of the 40-trip ticket, now $60, will increase to $68 and the cost of 10-trip tickets will be $17 and 20-trip tickets, $34.
