75-year-old man killed in hit-and-run in Manhattan

Police say a man crossing an Upper Manhattan street was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday night. 

75-year-old Arnold Slater was crossing 114th Street from east to west around 11:54 p.m. when he was struck by a black Honda Civic traveling north bound on Broadway, according to police.  

The Honda Civic fled the location before police arrived to the scene. EMS took Slater to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.   

Police have made no arrests and their investigation is ongoing.
