Children Lost in the Family Court System

In Part 1: We hear from mothers who say the system is weighted against them. They claim that Family Court judges have given custody of their children to an abusive parent.

We also hear about two children who had to run away and hide - they say - to keep their fathers from abusing them.

 

In Part 2: We have heard a lot about judges and courts that left kids with no voice. But there are judges here in L.A. County trying to improve things.

We talked to Judge Michael Nash, presiding judge of L.A.'s Juvenile Dependency Court. Robin Sax asked him about the many problems facing that system.

 

In Part 3: Joining us to discuss the whole issue of kids lost in the system in Kathleen Russell of the Center for Judicial Excellence.
