Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, is a part owner of the Brooklyn Nets, who moved from New Jersey to their new home at Atlantic Yards.

The arena promises dozens of sporting and entertainment programs throughout the year, including college basketball, boxing, and hockey and shows by topic music artists.

The Barclays Center will seat about 18,000 seats for basketball and up to 19,000 seats for concerts. It has dozens of luxury suites, concession stands, and Jay-Z's restaurant and lounge called the 40/40 Club.
