At least four bears have been spotted in towns around New Jersey.

Police in Totowa say a mother bear and several cubs have been seen multiple times since Thursday morning.

They spent some time eating pears out of a pear tree in town. They were last spotted near wooded area on Lackawana Avenue and Union Boulevard.

Animal control says they are keeping a close eye on the bears.

So far, there are no reports of any close encounters with humans.

The bears have been seen in Cedar Grove, Little Falls and Woodland Park.
