Caught On Camera: Man Snatches Puppy From Pet Store

Posted: Updated:
PLYMOUTH TWP., Pa. -

Police in Montgomery County are looking for a man who snatched a tiny puppy from a pet store.

Eight video cameras didn't stop this man and his accomplice from stealing a tiny Maltese-Yorkie mix named Marissa from Playful Pets in Conshohocken.

The store manager says the woman distracted her while the man went over to a pen of puppies.

Then you can see he takes one, places it under his sweatshirt, then leaves the store.

"They seemed pretty nice. They were talking to me for a little while," said Beth Ann Neuschlander, of Playful Pets. "To be honest, I just want the dog to be OK."

The brazen theft isn't the first for the store. It's just one of four!

In some of the previous cases, police say the suspects were selling the dogs for drug money.

If you have any information, you're asked to contact Plymouth Township police.

FOX 29's Chris O'Connell has more details in this video report.
