A 16-year-old former Somers High School student is accused of making threats against the school and its students on Facebook, New York State Police said.

Troopers arrested the Yorktown Heights resident on Thursday morning and charged him with second-degree aggravated harassment, a misdemeanor.

LoHud.com reported the text of the threat: "somers......as u read this Just know u have made my life hell for 5 years ..... Unfortunately, you have pushed me to the edge....to the point where my one goal in life....is to make your lives 10x more miserable than u made mine...even if I get life in prision...just know....its on sight for u....all of u...have a great day...its one of the last ones ull b having........"

After investigating, troopers determined that the teen had "no immediate means to follow through with any of his Facebook threats," State Police said.

In a message to students and parents, the school district said: "Late last evening, District administration began working with the State Troopers, shortly after news of the threat surfaced. Both groups were in contact throughout the night, as Troopers underwent an investigation."

Authorities are withholding the teenager's identity because of his age.
