An NYPD officer shot and killed a knife-wielding, emotionally disturbed man inside a building in Harlem, said police.

Officers responded to a report of an emotionally disturbed person barricaded in an apartment at 113 Morningside Avenue near West 124th Street just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers reportedly put a fiber-optic camera underneath the door. Bah, who was naked, reached for it and then rushed outside, reported the N.Y. Post

Police say the man lunged at the officers with a knife and the officers responded by Tasing him twice and firing a rubber bullet, but the man continued to advance on the officers.

That's when police say one of the officers fired his gun, striking the man in the torso.

Mohamed Bah, 28, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A foot-long kitchen knife was recovered at the scene, said police.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
