There are two great opportunities to support a Metro Detroit charity that provides help and hope to families living with cancer.
Gilda's Club Metro Detroit is a place where patients and their families can come for social and emotional support during and after their fight with cancer. This Thursday, artist Jacqueline Drake is hosting a show of her work to benefit Gilda's Club.
Through art therapy, Drake helps cancer patients and others fight their disease by using creativity as part of the healing process. Drake's show happens this Thursday from 7-10 p.m. at Studio D in Birmingham. The suggested donation is $10 dollars at the door.
You can also help support Gilda's Club by taking part in their annual walk. It takes place Saturday October 13th from 8am to noon on the campus of Lawrence Tech University in Southfield.
