Detroit Lions encourage healthy habits at "Fuel Up to Play 60" event at Ford Field.
DETROIT (WJBK) -
Members of the Detroit Lions are doing their part to encourage healthy habits among young people.
"Fuel Up to Play 60 Kickoff to School Health" was held today at Ford Field. Students, teachers, and administrators from 33 school across the state learned fun ways to encourage physical activity and embrace new nutrition standards for school lunches.
FOX 2's Al Allen reports that kid who attended the event are cutting back on texting and Facebook, in favor of physical activity. They're also cutting out fast food and eating more fruits and vegetables.
