Disabled Springsteen fan gets refund after NY show

VERNON, N.Y. (AP) -

A 20-year-old disabled man who left an upstate New York Bruce Springsteen show early over a lack of handicapped accommodations is getting his money back.

Gary Clinker drove his son Jason, who has cerebral palsy, from north of Toronto for the Aug. 29 show at Vernon Downs near Utica.

Clinker said that despite assurances there would be handicapped accommodations, he and his son were stuck in the crowd and had trouble seeing. They left halfway through the show.

Clinker told the Post-Standard of Syracuse that Ticketmaster last week agreed to refund the price of the two $108 tickets.
