15-year-old Ileana Cuevas killed while sitting in car

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -
Police are looking for the gunman who shot and killed a teenager in Detroit. Ileana Cuevas, 15, died when the car she was sitting in was riddled with bullets. Two other people were shot and injured.

Police tell us Cuevas, an innocent teenager, was caught in the crossfire when a man started firing shots into the car she was riding in. Her 23-year-old sister and a 25-year-old man were also in the car. Both were also shot. It happened on the 4000 block of Cicotte.
Witnesses tell us Ileana's sister was driving. She managed to make it a few blocks away to the corner of Michigan Ave. and Martin street where she pulled over for help. That sister is listed in temporary serious condition; the 25-year-old man in the car is said to be in critical condition.
Detroit police are still working this murder investigation. Right now, a motive is unknown. There's a vague description of a shooter -- a black male with dreadlocks. If you have any information, call Detroit Police. Stay with Fox 2 and myfoxdetroit.com for continuing coverage.
