I thought I would try a little something different today! I don't usually talk about restaurants, but this place is just that AMAZING!
Here's my take:
So my husband and I checked out this fairly new Italian restaurant in Huntington Valley called Arugula Ristorante. Mike Jerrick featured Arugula on "Ya Gotta Try This," so we decided to check it out for ourselves. Let me just tell you, it was by far the best Italian food I've ever had. My husband was having like a "food-gasm" the entire meal! The decor is very Tuscany, I loved the open floor plan and the open kitchen. We had a little, romantic table in the corner. Arugula is a BYOB, but they also offer a selection of in house wines. You can also dine outside on their beautiful patio. If you go this weekend--Sue Serio says Saturday will be beautiful...just saying! All of the food is so fresh and yummy. For starters we tried the grilled artichoke, with cheese and shrimp on top AND sauteed peppers with lump crabmeat. Ok wait, I'm jumping ahead...before that they served us fresh olives, cheese, bread, and olive oil. I'm not an olive person, but my husband ate the whole plate, and then asked where he could find them! According to him, they were not your ordinary "supermarket" olives. Next up--the main course! Phil had the most delicious crabmeat ravioli, I've ever tasted. It was topped with shrimp and scallops. He kept saying "I just want to take this sauce and cuddle with it," LOL! And in case you haven't noticed we are addicted to SEAFOOD! I had the Langostine, which is grilled lobster...all I'm going to say is YUM! And finally, as if we didn't eat enough, we had key lime pie and red velvet cheesecake for dessert! What I especially love about this place is that it's totally affordable. The most expensive dish is 30 dollars, which is the lobster that I had. We are definitely going again, we want to try their homemade pizzas prepared in the wood-burning oven!
