A car slammed into and critically injured a high school student on Long Island Wednesday, according to Suffolk County Police.

Job Giuliani, 17, a senior at West Babylon High School, was walking across from school on Great East Neck Road when a Honda Civic heading south hit him, police said.

Giuliani suffered head injuries and was listed in critical condition at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.

The diver of the Honda, Matthew Stein, 22, of West Babylon, was treated at Southside Hospital and released, police said.

Police are investigating the incident and have impounded the car for a safety check.
