A speeding stolen Hummer jumped a curb, plowed into some pedestrians, and slammed into a barbecue restaurant in Chelsea Tuesday afternoon.

A 19-year-old thief jumped into the idling Hummer a nearby parking garage just as its owner was about to get in, Fox 5's Heather Brown reported.

As the thief drove off the parking attendant jumped on the hood, but fell quickly off and called police.

The speeding Hummer sideswiped a bus and a taxi before crashing into Rub BBQ on West 23rd Street near 7th Avenue.

The driver and eight other people, including the restaurant manager, were hurt.
