93-year-old woman killed after being struck by SUV in Brooklyn

Police say a 93-year-old woman was killed and her 68-year-old daughter was injured after they were stuck by an SUV in Brooklyn Saturday night.
Gitzella Katz was walking with her daughter Judy Fisher in the Taylor-Wythe houses on Wythe Avenue in Willimsburg around 9:50 p.m. when a black Toyota Highlander backed into them as the driver was trying to park.
EMS took Katz and Fisher to Bellevue Hospital where Katz was pronounced dead. Fisher was listed in stable condition Sunday.
Police said the 26-year-old driver was taken to the hospital with chest pains.
There is no criminality was suspected and the police investigation is ongoing.

Five people were injured when a van jumped a curb in downtown Brooklyn on Friday. The van rear-ended a Taxi and Limousine Commission vehicle at the corner of Church Ave. and Utica Ave. at about 7:45 a.m., said police. One of the pedestrians that was struck by the van was taken to Brookdale Hospital. Four other victims were taken to Kings County Hospital.
