The U.S. Embassy in Yemen came under attack by protesters Thursday, a day after an attack on the consulate in Libya that killed four Americans including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Protesters in Cairo, Egypt clashed with police in an anti-American demonstration Wednesday and Thursday.

The demonstrations have been linked to an anti-Muslim video created by an American.

U.S Army Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer spoke with Good Day New York on Thursday about the wave of violence.

"The movie came out in June… These radicals have been saying this was coming… This is an intelligence failure... The attack in Libya against the ambassador was planned… These are very precise terrorist attacks," said Shaffer.
