TINTON FALLS, N.J. (AP) -- Monmouth County authorities say two people are dead after their vehicle crashed while fleeing from police in Tinton Falls.
The identities of the victims from Wednesday night's crash have not been released. No police officers were injured.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office confirms two people in the car were killed around 10:30 p.m. while trying to get away from police.
The prosecutor's office would not immediately release details of what led to the chase, which ended on Shafto Road when the vehicle struck some fixed object.
