Woman killed by NYC subway

NEW YORK (AP) -

A woman has been struck and killed by a subway train in Manhattan.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the victim was pronounced dead at 9:16 a.m. Tuesday. Her identity was not immediately known.

She was struck by an uptown No. 2 train entering the 14th Street station at Seventh Avenue.

It wasn't clear how she got on the tracks.

Trains bypassed the station until 10:42 a.m. while authorities investigated.
