A Long Island man faces multiple charges after a road rage incident.

The New York State Police say that Leonardo Argueta, 45, of Roosevelt was driving a Ford pick-up truck on the Souther State parkway yesterday afternoon.

Police say that he tried to force a Nissan Altima off of the road near Newbridge Road at about 3:55 p.m. Troopers say that Argueta also threw a bottle at the Nissan before both drivers pulled over to the shoulder of the road.

Police say that Argueta approached the Nissan's driver in a threatening manner.  Witnesses stopped and called police.

Troopers arrived on the scene and arrested Argueta.  He is charged with reckless endangerment, harassment and reckless driving.

Argueta is due back in Nassau County District Court on Sept. 26, 2012.
