The NYPD is investigating a hit-and-run accident in which a pedestrian was killed.
Police say they responded to Flatbush Avenue and Hawthorne Street in Brooklyn just before midnight Wednesday. They found a 40-year-old man under a parked car with severe body trauma.
Three people were injured and were expected to recover after the van slammed into two cars and a taxi cab, reported the N.Y. Post.
Police determined that the pedestrian was struck by a Ford Econoline van traveling northbound on Flatbush Avenue.
They say they have a suspect in custody.

The van rear-ended a Taxi and Limousine Commission vehicle at the corner of Church Ave. and Utica Ave. at about 7:45 a.m., said police.
